After welcoming
The Hold Steady onto his sacred temple of America's greatness a couple weeks ago, Colbert brought in the boys from Vampire Weekend for their own home land interrogation last night. Colbert takes a considerably lighter route on this one: taking shots at drummer Chris Tomson's hygiene (although his American flag tank top is fresh as hell), the vampire craze, and even dropping one of his all-time greatest lines ("In one of your songs you have the lyrics 'who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma?'. I'm here to tell you 'I do'.) Fortunately, the guys stick around long enough to tear through a speedy take on their always bouncy "Holiday".
