The Way I See It

One of my favorite things about music is when it is able to tap into it's visual capabilities. Really transport you to a place and time. You get a feeling of lingering in some Twilight Zone limbo between past, present, and future. Raphael Saddiq's The Way I See It, is a great example of this. Everything about Saddiq transports the listeners back to the golden days of Motown, resurrecting the likes of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, and Smokey Robinson. Saddiq is sure to show tributes to this by inviting Stevie Wonder and fellow Motown-infulenced Joss Stone on the record, along with Jay-Z for a more modern touch. So pop this on and get all Michael J. Fox/Back to the Future style and get down.
